Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tiger of the Week for the week ending March 13, 2011 is goaltender Tyler Bunz.

This is Tyler's fifth player of the week honour of the 2010-2011 season. Over the past week, Tyler compiled a 3-0-0-0 record helping the Tigers pick up all six points during a crucial stretch leading into the playoffs.

The Tigers started the week at home with a game against the Calgary Hitmen. The forwards provided Tyler with a lot of insurance scoring six times. That was more than enough as he only allowed two goals on the 20 shots he faced.

The Tigers next faced Red Deer in a battle between the two top teams in the Central Division. The game was a back and forth battle all the way through. At the end of regulation the score was tied up at 2-2 so the game went to overtime. Tyler faced only one shot in overtime and Linden Vey scored with 12 seconds remaining to seal the victory. In 64:48 of playing time, Tyler stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced for his third straight win.

The Tigers finished off the week heading to Lethbridge to take on the rival Hurricanes. Tyler had another excellent game turning aside 29 shots as he lead his team to a 5-1 victory to increase their point total to 96 points with three games remaining.

At the conclusion of the week, Bunz had a 35-12-4-4 record with a 0.921 save percentage and 2.44 goals against average.
