CLOUSTON REACHES 300TH CAREER COACHING WIN FRIDAY
Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to announce that General Manager and Head Coach Shaun Clouston has become the 20th coach in WHL history to amass 300 wins in their career. The victory on January 20th versus Regina marked the 300th win for Clouston.
In 2003-04 Clouston was hired as an assistant coach under Willie Desjardins. Clouston spent 6 seasons as an assistant, winning a WHL Championship in 2003-04 and once again in 2006-07.
Into his 7th year as Head Coach of the Medicine Hat Tigers, Clouston’s teams have won 40 or more games 4 times and have made the second round of the playoffs 5 times, reaching the Eastern Conference Championship twice.
Clouston has 284 victories as a member of the Medicine Hat Tigers which sits second in franchise history behind only Willie Desjardins.
Overall Clouston has amassed a career record of 300-212-34 (SOL/OTL) with 2 ties.
