VS. RED DEER — The Medicine Hat Tigers host the Red Deer Rebels tonight at the Canalta Centre for the WHL Suits Up with Don Cherry to Promote Organ Donation Presented by RE/MAX. For the first time in franchise history, the Tigers will be suited up in themed jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. The first 3,000 fans to check in will receive a wristband with a chance to win a Don Cherry bobblehead. The Tabbies and the Rebels have faced off four times this season splitting the series two apiece. Tonight’s game will be a one in a lifetime fan experience in support of a good, local cause.

Medicine Hat Tigers – Ryan Jevne has been red hot for the Tigers of late, scoring 6 goals and adding 2 assists in the last 7 games. Jevne has deceptive speed and is a smooth skating winger with a devastating shot that makes opposing goalies cringe. Red Deer Rebels – Mason McCarty is having a banner year for the Rebels reaching career highs in goals and assists while being their top point producer. McCarty has been effective against the Tabbies this season notching 3 goals and 4 assists in 4 games.

Imports:

In his first year with the Orange and Black, Linus Nassen has been making a name for himself. Hailing from Sweden, Nassen has 22 points in 38 games with the Tigers. The Tabbies blue line also features the towering shut down defenceman Kristians Rubins. Rubins is the first Latvian born player to ever suit up for the Tigers and he has netted 6 goals and 19 assists so far this season.

Protecting the Paint:

The Tigers acquired 18-year-old netminder Jordan Hollett from the Regina Pats in the offseason. Hollett is a 6th round selection of the Ottawa Senators and currently he is sporting a 16-12-4 record with a 3.44 GAA and a .896 SV% The Orange and Black also have veteran goaltender Michael Bullion. Bullion has a 16-12-3 record posting a 0.891 SV% and a 3.20 GAA. Affiliate netminder Kaeden Lane has been called into action for the Tabbies where he is currently posting a 0-0-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and a 0.879 SV%.
