TIGERS ACQUIRE HENDERSON FROM BLADES

Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers have acquired 97 born defenseman Jordan Henderson from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a 5th Round Bantam Draft pick in 2017.

“Jordan is a solid defender that will add depth to our back end,” stated General Manager and Head Coach Shaun Clouston, “We are excited to add a veteran player with valuable league experience at this time.”

Henderson was originally drafted in the 2012 Bantam Draft by the Spokane Chiefs in the 4th Round (72nd overall). He played two seasons with the Chiefs appearing in 97 games and recording 9 points, including the 2016 playoffs which saw him record 4 points in 6 games.

Earlier this season Henderson was traded to the Saskatoon Blades, in 20 games with the Blades this season Henderson has 4 points. Overall on the season split between Spokane and Saskatoon Henderson has 8 points (1G, 7A) in 35 games.

Henderson will join the Tigers in time for this weekend’s game against Vancouver.
