Thursday 10.27.11 / 09:10 AM

Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers announced today the reassignment of 17-year-old defenseman Kyle Becker to Cowichan Valley of the BCHL.

"Kyle had surgery on his wrist in August and he is now fully rehabbed and ready to play," said Tigers' general manager Brad McEwen.

"We feel it's best for him to play some games and there is an opportunity for him in Cowichan Valley to do that. He will go there and get the ice time he needs and we look forward to Kyle being a big part of our program as we move forward."

The Tigers next action is a home and home weekend with the Swift Current Broncos. The Tigers will travel down the Trans Canada Highway on Friday to visit the Broncos for a 7:00 p.m. start. The Broncos will make the return trip to Medicine Hat on Saturday with the puck dropping at The Arena at 7:30 p.m.
