The Medicine Hat Tigers are saddened to learn of the passing of former Tigers forward Guy Phillips. Guy played 3 seasons for the Orange and Black putting up 186 points, including 81 goals and 105 assists. Phillips would add 51 points in the postseason where he helped the Tigers win the 1987 Memorial Cup. An alternate captain with that team, he had four goals and four assists in four games in Oshawa, as well as being named tournament All-Star.

Guy would go on to play hockey professionally; spending time in the International Hockey League as well as five seasons in Germany. He would retire after the 1998-99 season.

Our deepest condolences go out to Guy’s entire family, he was 53.
