TIGERS ACQUIRE D-MAN

The Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to announce they have made a trade today.  The team has acquired 19-year-old defenceman Scott Ramsay from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

Ramsay was originally drafted by the Chilliwack Bruins, suiting up in 94 contests during his tenure there.  In 26 games with Seattle this season, the 6′ 4″ 207 lb defenceman has one assist to go along with 57 penalty minutes.

“We are really glad to have Scott join our defence group.  He’ll provide a solid veteran presence on our blueline,” said Tigers General Manager Brad McEwen.  “At this time of year, depth is a valuable commodity, and we have added a big, experienced defenceman with three WHL seasons on his resume to our club.”
