TIGERS SELECT OSKARI KUNTONEN IN CHL IMPORT DRAFT

Medicine Hat, AB — With the 51st selection overall in the 2020 CHL Import Draft, the Medicine Hat Tigers selected Finnish player Oskari Kuntonen.

“Oskari comes out of a good hockey program,” said Bobby Fox, Tigers Director of Player Personnel. “He has high hockey IQ and he works really hard to be a player. He’s an exciting young offensive player and we are excited to add him to our lineup.”

The 2002 born forward hails from Hollola, Finland, and he played for the Pelicans U18 in the U18 SM-sarja league last season where he collected 46 points (16G, 30A) in 39 games played.

The Tigers passed on their second round selection in the draft.
