Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers announced today that they have signed 2005 born forward Cru Hanas to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.
Hanas, who hails from Dallas, Texas is a highly skilled forward with a nose for the net. He is tenacious on loose pucks and is a solid skater. The 16-year-old put up 33 points (16G, 17A) in 22 games with the Dallas Stars Elite of the U16AAA league in Dallas.
Tigers Head Coach and General Manager Willie Desjardins says “We’d like to welcome Cru and his family to the Tigers organization. We’re excited to have him. He had a great start to the season, is a hard worker, has lots of size and skill. We’re really looking forward to working with Cru and helping him achieve his hockey dreams.” Cru’s brother Cross currently plays for the Portland Winterhawks and was a 2nd round pick (55th overall) of the Detroit Red Wings.
The Tigers next action comes Friday when the team travels to Lethbridge to take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes for the first time this season.
