TIGERS SIGN MCCANN

Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers announced today that they have signed forward Kadon McCann to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.

McCann, a product of Cochrane, AB was selected by the Tigers in the 2nd round, 23rd overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft. McCann appeared in 30 games with the Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna U15 Prep team during the 2021-22 season registering 22 goals and 23 assists.  McCann also appeared in 3 games with the Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna U17 team where he had 5 points, including 3 goals and 2 assists.

Tigers Head Coach and General Manager Willie Desjardins says “We were really excited to get Kadon in the draft and even more excited to have him sign.  He’s been a leader on and off the ice.”

Director of Player Personnel Bobby Fox went on to say “Kadon is a Multi-tooled 200 foot competitive forward that can be trusted in any situation.  He uses his frame and reach to his advantage and he’s excellent on draws.”
