Medicine Hat, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers are happy to announce 2019 Bantam Draft pick Tyler MacKenzie has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

“Tyler is a speedy forward who is quick to loose pucks and drives to the net with courage. He makes good decisions and has excellent hands in tight,” said Bobby Fox, Director of Player Personnel.

The 15-year-old Red Deer, AB native was selected by the Tigers in the sixth round, 122 overall. Last season MacKenzie suited up for the Red Deer Rebels Bantam AAA of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League. He had 51 points (20G, 31A) in 32 games.

“We are excited about Tyler’s work ethic and his love for the game,” said Willie Desjardins, General Manager and Head Coach. “We would like to welcome Tyler and his family to the Tigers Organization.”
