BLADES SNAP TIGERS WIN STREAK

WHL GAME SUMMARY  –  TIGERS WEBTV HI-LITES

Saskatoon, SK – The Medicine Hat Tigers faced off against the WHL’s top team on Saturday night and came up short in a 4-1 loss to the Saskatoon Blades.

The loss drops the Tigers record to 6-4-0- and snaps the club’s three game win streak.

After a scoreless 1st period, the Blades dominated the 2nd period with three goals on 12 shots, while limiting the Tigers to just four shots on goal.

In the 3rd period, Saskatoon scored to go up by four goals before Tigers forward Dylan Bredo responded to put the Tigers on the board.

Goaltender Tyler Bunz (3-3-0-0) stopped 27 of 31 shots in the loss.

Medicine Hat was held scoreless on eight power plays, while the Blades went 2 for 9.

The Tigers were without forward Tyler Pitlick, who was suspended pending league review of the major kneeing penalty the 1st year forward incurred against the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night.

The Tigers now return home to face off against the Kootenay Ice on Tuesday October, 26th. Game time is 7:00 PM and can be heard live on CHAT 94.5 FM at tigershockey.com or watched via webcast at livestream.whl.ca.
