VS RED DEER –This is the fourth of six meetings between the Red Deer Rebels and the Medicine Hat Tigers this season. So far the Tigers are 2-1-0-0 against the Rebels (1-1-0-0 at home and 1-0-0-0 in Red Deer). In the season series, the Tigers hold the edge in goals 9-7 but have been outshot by the Rebels 91-60. Linden Vey leads the team in scoring against the Rebels with five points (1G,4A). Goaltender Deven Dubyk (2-0-0-0) has allowed two goals (1.00 G.A.A) on 69 shots (.971 Save %) in his two starts and Tyler Bunz (0-1-0-0) has started one game allowing five goals (5.28 G.A.A.) on 22 shots (.773 Save %). LAST GAME: On Saturday night, the Tigers beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-1. Wacey Hamilton (1G,2A) led the way for the Tigers with three points. Cole Grbavac, Emerson Etem and Curtis Valk were the other scorers for the Tigers. Goaltender Tyler Bunz (26-11-2-0) stopped 36 of the 37 shots he faced for the win.

CANADA GAMES: Three Medicine Hat Tigers recent draft picks will participate in the upcoming 2011 Canada Games in Halifax. Cole Sanford (BC U-16), Gavin Broadhead (NWT U-16) and Spencer Jensen (AB U-16) will all participate at the event taking place Feb. 11-27, 2011.

STREAKS: Emerson Etem  has points in each of his last 12 games. Over the span, Etem has scored 8 goals and added 9 assists for 17 points. Jace Coyle has also been solid defensively since his return. The defenseman has gone 8 straight games without posting a negative plus/minus rating. Goaltender Tyler Bunz is 7-3-0-0 in his last 10 start.

MILESTONES: Linden Vey recently surpassed Henry Kuster (148 assists) for 17th all-time on the Tigers career assist leaders and  Ed Johnstone (249 points) for 19th on the all-time Tiger scoring leaders. In his career, Vey has amassed 92 goals and 159 assists for 251 points. Goaltender Tyler Bunz recently recorded his 63rd career win with the Tigers to pass Paxton Schafer on the all-time win list. Bunz is now only two wins away from tying Tigers great Kelly Hrudey (69 wins).
