HURRICANES STEAL VICTORY FROM TIGERS

Medicine Hat, AB -Two goals by the Lethbridge Hurricanes in 13 seconds sealed the fate of the Tigers in their home opener in a 3-1 loss.

After outshooting the Hurricanes 18-5 in the 1st period, the Tigers came away trailing 1-0.

Lethbridge went ahead 3-0 after scoring twice in the 2nd period, with both goals coming 13 seconds apart midway through the period.

Tigers Captain Wacey Hamilton scored the lone Tigers goal while shorthanded.

Goaltender Tyler Bunz stopped 16 of 19 shots in loss.  Medicine Hat finished with 38 shots, while going scoreless on four power plays.

Next game for the Tigers is Friday, October 1st against the Red Deer Rebels. Game time is 7:30 PM.
