Boston Leier is ready to take on more responsibilities than he ever has with the Medicine Hat Tigers.
The 20-year-old left-winger just returned from attending the Washington Capitals main WHL camp along with Tigers teammate and defenceman Tyler Lewington.
Going into his fourth full season in Medicine Hat, the Saskatoon product knows he faces higher expectations than ever as an overage player.
“As a 20-year-old, it is even more weight on my shoulders,” said Leier. “It is really exciting for us, because you are kind of that go-to guy to look to, whether it is for your scoring or for leadership or hard work and everything like that.
“I think it is just pretty exciting to be looked upon like that.”
