Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers completed a weekend home-and-home sweep with the Oil Kings, with a 6-4 win

Saturday night in at The Arena. The Tigers won 7-1 at Rexall Place, Friday.
With a balanced attacked that carried over from Friday’s contest, the Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Tyler Pitlick and Ryan Harrison each scored, with both goals set up from linemate Linden Vey. Vey would finish the night with four helpers, while Pitlick would also chip in with two assists.
The second period turned out to be a bit of a shootout with both clubs scoring twice. Ryan Harrison, with his second of the night, and rookie Hunter Shinkaruk both scored as the Tigers took a slim 4-3 lead into the 3rd period. For Shinkaruk, it was his first career WHL goal and fourth point in two games.
In the final frame, Tigers Captain Wacey Hamilton went coast-to-coast to score his third goal of the season, while rookie Sam Dezman added a late insurance marker to seal the win.
Tigers netminder Tyler Bunz (2-2-0-0) stopped 30 of 34 shots for his second straight victory.
Medicine Hat was 1 for 5 on the power play, while Edmonton was 2 for 6.
