TIGERS DEFEAT HURRICANES FOR THIRD TIME IN A WEEK
WHL GAME SUMMARY – TIGERS TV HI-LITES
Medicine Hat, AB -The Medicine Hat Tigers defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 for their third victory against the Hurricanes in a week.
Linden Vey opened the scoring in the first period with a shorthanded goal. The goal was Vey’s league leading seventh shorthanded point of the year.
Lethbridge tied the game 42 seconds into the second period with a goal from Brody Sutter. The game didn’t stay tied for long though. The Tigers netted three goals within the next ten minutes. Jace Coyle and Curtis Valk each tallied a goal and Linden Vey added his second of the night.
Lethbridge made a game of it in the third period and rallied to close the gap to 4-3. Graham Hood and Tyler Kizuik were the goals scorers for the Hurricanes. With the game closing down and the Hurricanes’ net empty Jace Coyle added his second of the night to seal the win for the Tigers.
Goaltender Deven Dubyk (7-3-0-0) stopped 25 of 28 shots leading the Tigers to their fourth straight victory.
Tyler Pitlick picked up an assist on Vey’s second goal to extend his point streak to 9 games (2G,9A).
