Tigers Earn Road Victory Over Broncos

Swift Current, SK – Three 3rd period goals propelled the Tigers to their second victory of the 2010 WHL Preseason with a 4-1 victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Friday night.

The Tigers and Broncos return to Medicine Hat on Saturday night to complete the home and home series. Game time is 7:30pm at The Arena.

Tigers defenceman Patrik Parkkonen opened the scoring for Medicine Hat giving the Tigers an early 1-0 lead.

After a scoreless 2nd period, Swift Current’s Brad Hoban evened the score at 5:40 of the 3rd period.

The Tigers answered 36 seconds later with a goal from Ryan Harrison and Curtis Valk, while Sam Dezman also scored to put the game out of reach.

Rookie Dawson MacAuley earned the win for the Tigers with 28 saves, while Mark Friesen suffered the loss, making 24 saves on 28 shots for the Broncos.
