TIGERS KEEP HITMEN WINLESS IN SEVEN

WHL GAME SUMMARY  –  TIGERS WEBTV HI-LITES

Calgary, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers’ power play was one better than the Calgary Hitmen’s in a 2-1 victory over their Central Division rivals on Tuesday night.

Two power play goals to Caglary’s one sent the Hitmen to their seventh straigh loss.

After a scoreless 1st period, the Tigers Linden Vey scored with the man advantage to give Medicine Hat a 1-0 lead heading into the 3rd period.  For Vey, it was his third goal in two games and sixth of the season.

After the Hitmen had evened the score 1-1 with a power play goal of their own, the Tigers Emerson Etem put the Tigers ahead for good with his team leading fourth power play goal of the season and ninth overall.

Captain Wacey Hamilton recorded two assists.

Tigers goaltender Tyler Bunz (4-4-0-0) stopped 28 of 29 shots.

No rest for the weary as the Tigers return to action on Wednesday night against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Game time is 7:00 PM and can be heard live on CHAT 94.5 FM at tigershockey.com or watched via webcast at livestream.whl.ca.
