TIGERS ROAR PAST REBELS

Red Deer, AB – For the second straight game, the Tigers defeated the Red Deer Rebels with 4-1 win at the Enmax Centrium on Saturday night.

Medicine Hat goaltender Deven Dubyk earned first star honours again, this time with a 36 save performance, allowing just one power play goal.

In back-to-back games against Red Deer this weekend, the Tigers held the Rebels to just two power play goals, while keeping the Red Deer offence off the scoresheet at even strength.   With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-1-0-0.

The Tigers led 2-0 after the 1st period on goals by Jace Coyle and Vahe Zakaryan, each with their first of the season. 

Red Deer cut the lead to one, however, Medicine Hat rallied with two goals in the 3rd period as forwards Linden Vey and Sam Dezman tallied to give the Tigers the victory.

Tigers forward Cole Grbavac  chipped in with two assists.

Outshot 37-23, the Tigers went 1 for 6 on the power play, while limiting Red Deer to just one power goal on eight man advantages.
